Sound Familiar?

You’re the one everyone brings it to.

The default caretaker.

Team conflict, hard conversations, and morale land on your desk, whether or not they’re your job.

Care that’s expected, not valued.

The emotional labor you do for your team rarely shows up in a performance review.

The boundary double bind.

Set a boundary and risk being called cold. Don’t, and you end up carrying everyone.

Caring at both ends of the day.

You hold your team all day, then go home and care for everyone there, too.

Guilt in every direction.

Time for yourself feels like letting someone down.

Running on reserves.

You notice everyone else’s exhaustion long before your own.

What It Costs

Women leaders absorb the strain quietly, until they step back, burn out, or leave. Organizations lose the leaders who hold their culture together.

The Fear Underneath

That boundaries will make you seem less kind, less committed, or less of a team player. That no one will notice until you can’t keep going.

How We Help

Our Notice, Discern, and Lead framework, applied to the realities women leaders face, alongside peers who share them.

Caring is a strength. Carrying everything is not part of the job description.

How It Works

Three sessions. One shift.

01

Notice

What am I carrying, at work and at home?

02

Discern

What is actually mine, and what was handed to me because I’m the one who cares?

03

Lead

How do I lead with care without becoming everyone’s shock absorber?

Questions Women Leaders Ask

Frequently asked questions

Who is Caring Without Carrying for Women Leaders for?

Women leaders at every level who absorb the stress, conflict, and emotional weight of their teams, often while caring for others at home. It is open to women and feminine-aligned leaders across Canada and the United States.

How is it different from the original Caring Without Carrying program?

It uses the same evidence-based Notice, Discern, and Lead framework, focused on the pressures women leaders face specifically: emotional labor, the double bind around boundaries, and caregiving on both sides of the workday. It is delivered in a women-only cohort.

What formats are available?

Three sessions, delivered virtually or in person, as an open cohort, a private cohort for your organization, ERG, or association, or one-on-one.

Can our ERG or association bring this to our members?

Yes. We tailor the program to your members and deliver it as a private cohort. See Custom Programs for Organizations.

What happens after the three sessions?

Participants can continue in the monthly Caring Without Carrying Community to keep practicing the tools together.
